40-Hour Hazardous Waste Operations (HAZWOPER)

This 40-hour course is based upon the requirements of OSHA and Cal-OSHA. It is designed for the individuals that are involved with the clean up of a hazardous waste site. The student learns specific engineering controls and techniquies for handling hazardous materials. Training is accomplished through lectures, use of audiovisual aids, class discussion, and hands-on experience. This course requires a yearly refresher. Hazardous materials are not used during student practice.
